On Board Ship

While on board ship, we could eat 24/7 but for the most part we just ate three meals per day.

Here is a picture of George and Benton, Liz's two brothers, sitting at the table eating lunch. There was quite a selection of food and we all enjoyed it.

And here is the rest of the family (except for me, the photographer) finishing up our meal. The light level was low compared to outside, so the lighting of this photo was difficult to adjust.

In the center of the ship is this open area, going from deck #8 to deck # 13.

A view from the balcony of deck #9. That is a bar that the people are crowding about.

Once in the Bahamas, we docked at Nassau. Here is the Atlantis hotel, from across the lagon. This is where Michael Jackson would stay. It was reported that he paid $25,000 per night with a garanteed 4 night stay.

Ben and Janelle brought Liz and me to this Florida State Park just outside of Jacksonville, that once was a plantation.

To Jacksonville, Florida, and Beyond

Liz and I flew to Jacksonville, Florida, to visit with Ben and Janelle for a couple of days. Then Liz and I took an ocean cruise to the Bahamas with Liz's two brothers and wives.

While in Jacksonville, Liz, Janelle, Ben, and I took a walk along one of the water ways. All of the water ways are interconnected and flow into the Atlantic Ocean.

After a couple of days in Jacksonvile, Liz and I got on the Carnival Fascination to begin our cruise. Here the ship is turning around 180 degrees in order to travel the Saint John River to the Atlantic Ocean.

After two and a half days at sea, we dock at Nassau. The blue water is a different kind of blue.

Off the ship, Liz and Marilyn pretent to call home.

We went to Atlantis, a resort area in Nassau.
